To the editor: After studying that seven main tech firm CEOs signed President Trump’s “ratepayer safety pledge” to provide their very own energy for AI knowledge facilities, I used their instrument (AI) and typed in “quickest and least expensive new energy system for a knowledge middle” (“Top tech companies sign Trump’s pledge to provide their own power for AI data centers,” March 4). The reply AI gave me: On-site photo voltaic paired with battery storage. This could be the perfect resolution for causes past price and speedy deployment.
In contrast to fossil fuels on which our president is concentrated, the solar just isn’t topic to closure of an ocean strait. We don’t have to ship our troopers to seize dictators to safe it. It’s out there in every single place on Earth; we might not have wars over it.
We’d like another pledge from the CEOs, one they might not have been prompted to make within the Oval Workplace with Trump: Use the solar as the brand new supply of energy for his or her facilities.
