    Australia PM says ‘military assets’ deployed to Mideast

    SYDNEY: Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese stated Thursday (Mar 5) that “navy belongings” had been deployed to the Center East as a contingency plan.

    International locations have rushed to evacuate their residents from the Center East this week after US-Israeli strikes on Iran that killed its Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and sparked a regional struggle.

    Albanese informed the Australian parliament the federal government had despatched six disaster response groups to the area.

    “And we have already deployed navy belongings as a part of our contingency planning earlier this week,” he stated.

    “I thank these Australians going right into a harmful state of affairs in an effort to assist their fellow Australians,” he added.

    The Australian chief didn’t give additional particulars in regards to the nature of the belongings, although native outlet SBS Information reported they have been planes.

    AFP contacted Albanese’s workplace and the Australian defence ministry for additional data.

    Australia has stated it has 115,000 residents within the area.

    New Zealand additionally ordered two navy plane to the Center East on Thursday in preparation for evacuations of its residents from the area.
