To the editor: The story of Jet Blue, the 2-year-old goldendoodle abandoned at Las Vegas Worldwide Airport, was as heartbreaking because it was uplifting (“Traveler left her goldendoodle tied up at the airport. A cop came to the rescue,” Feb. 23). How fortunate that lovely mutt was rescued from such a merciless, unfit proprietor. I hope she is endlessly legally prevented from proudly owning one other animal of any sort.
Within the meantime, I believe all of us are united in thanking Officer Skeeter Black for having a great coronary heart and a heroic spirit, and for making each American animal lover grateful that Jet Blue now has a protected, loving endlessly dwelling.
