Arbess writes, “Proper now, as you learn this, Iranian protesters are going through stay ammunition in Tehran’s streets” (“Iran’s crisis is a test of U.S. moral leadership,” Jan. 23). Proper now, as you learn this, protesters are going through stay ammunition within the streets of Minneapolis. The U.S. can not assert ethical management in Iran whereas abandoning it in its personal nation. This dichotomy ought to be justly referred to as out and labeled, “America second.”

To the editor: Arbess argues the U.S. ought to intervene in Iran’s inner affairs. Is he unaware that the CIA’s help in overthrowing Iran’s democratically elected president in 1953 and putting in the shah led directly to Iran’s 1979 revolution and present repressive management? Beware unintended penalties.
