    Trump doesn’t rule out war with Venezuela

    WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump left open the possibility of war with Venezuela, as his high diplomat Marco Rubio vowed Friday (Dec 19) to implement a blockade on the nation’s oil wealth.

    Requested in an interview with NBC Information carried out Thursday a few conflict with Venezuela, Trump mentioned, “I do not rule it out, no.”

    Trump declined to say whether or not he needs to oust President Nicolas Maduro, after saying in an earlier interview that the leftist firebrand’s “days are numbered”.

    “He is aware of precisely what I need,” Trump replied. “He is aware of higher than anyone.”

    Rubio, who was repeatedly requested about Venezuela throughout a two-hour information convention on the State Division which he addressed each in English and Spanish, additionally declined to reply explicitly if the USA was aiming to overthrow Maduro, however he promised to press on.

    “It’s clear that the present established order with the Venezuelan regime is insupportable for the USA,” Rubio mentioned.

    “So sure, our objective is to vary that dynamic, and that is why the president is doing what he is doing,” he mentioned of Trump.

    Rubio, a Cuban American and vociferous critic of the communist authorities in Havana, has pressed for a tough line on Venezuela after Trump initially appeared open to a transactional relationship with Maduro. Rubio didn’t rule out talks with Maduro.

    Trump earlier this week declared that Venezuela is “fully surrounded by the most important Armada ever assembled within the Historical past of South America”.

    Trump vowed that the USA would stop Venezuela’s shipments of oil, in what he described as enforcement of sanctions imposed unilaterally by the USA.

    “There’s nothing that is going to impede our skill to implement US legislation relating to sanctions,” Rubio mentioned.

    Hardline Trump aide Stephen Miller has accused Venezuela of “expropriation” as US firms have been concerned in early oil exploration on sovereign Venezuelan territory.
