    Massachusetts leaders react to ‘heartbreaking’ Brown College capturing: ‘Tragic act of violence’

    Massachusetts leaders provided prayers after a shooting at Brown University in Rhode Island on Saturday left two college students useless and 9 others wounded, calling the incident “horrific” and “tragic.”

    “My coronary heart is with @BrownUniversity and the Metropolis of Windfall, and I’m praying for everybody impacted by this tragic act of violence. @MassStatePolice are in shut contact with Rhode Island officers and I’ve been in contact with @GovDanMcKee to supply our full help and help,” Gov. Maura Healey wrote on X.

    U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., stated “the lethal capturing at Brown College is horrific.”

    “College students ought to have the ability to be taught in peace, not worry gun violence. My coronary heart goes out to the victims, their family members, and the whole Windfall neighborhood,” she wrote.

    U.S. Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., stated he’s “heartbroken by the information of a horrific mass capturing at Brown College and sending love and prayers for the victims, their households, and the whole Windfall neighborhood.”

    “We should act now to finish this painful epidemic of gun violence. Our youngsters needs to be secure in school,” he added.
