KHAN YOUNIS: An Israeli assault killed two kids in Gaza on Saturday (Nov 29), medics and kin stated, in violence that has endured within the Palestinian enclave regardless of a fragile ceasefire.

The youngsters’s uncle stated an Israeli drone fired on Fadi and Goma Abu Assi, brothers aged 10 and 12, whereas they had been gathering firewood to assist their wheelchair-bound father east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

“They’re kids … what did they do? They don’t have missiles or bombs, they went to collect wooden for his or her father so he can begin a fireplace,” Mohamed Abu Assi informed Reuters as their funeral happened.

On the funeral, the kids’s father wept over the physique of one of many boys whose white shroud had been peeled again to point out his face.

The Israeli navy didn’t instantly reply to a Reuters request for remark.

No less than 354 Palestinians have been killed for the reason that ceasefire between Israel and Hamas went into impact on Oct 10, Gazan well being authorities say. Israel says three of its troopers have been killed by militants’ gunfire in that point.

The extent of violence has lowered for the reason that ceasefire, however Israel has continued to strike Gaza and conduct demolitions in territory it occupies there.
