Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker did an interview on FOX Information with Bret Baier this week and it didn’t go nicely. It was truly an ideal reminder that Democrats don’t normally get challenged by journalists in the identical manner that Republicans do.

Baier wasn’t even that powerful on Pritzker, he simply confronted him with some inconvenient details about his state and Pritzker fell aside.

The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft covered their exchange:

Brett Baier: Does Chicago have the best homicide charge of all the massive cities?

Governor Pritzker: Properly, we aren’t within the high 30 when it comes to our homicide charge. Certainly, our homicide charge has been lower in half over the past 4 years, and yearly it’s gone down by double digits. In case you take a look at the entire violent crime over the past 4 years, they’ve all gone down.

Brett Baier: Right here’s a map. Most populous US cities, 17. 47 per 100,000 inhabitants. Chicago is primary over Philadelphia, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Phoenix, Los Angeles, New York, and Diego.

Governor Pritzker: What I’m explaining to you is once you need to battle crime-Now, you’re speaking about violent crime. Look, you’ll be able to pull statistics up. No, these are murders. I’m explaining to you that our homicide charge has been lower in half.

Journalist Mark Halperin is among the many individuals who weren’t impressed with Pritzker’s efficiency. He panned the governor on his 2Way present right now.

    Transcript through Real Clear Politics:

“It confirmed every thing I take into consideration his talent set. I simply don’t perceive why individuals are taking him critically as a presidential candidate — besides that he’s a billionaire. He did nothing to assist himself in that interview. He was completely on protection, sputtering, obscure, mentioned a bunch of issues that, once they’re fact-checked, will likely be confirmed improper,” he mentioned.

“And it was a high-profile interview; he went on there, they gave him a ton of time, and I simply don’t get why, along with his file and his communication abilities, why he’s thought-about a critical candidate. And this interview confirmed that for me.”

“It wasn’t a catastrophe, but it surely was only a missed alternative,” Halperin mentioned. “In case you’re going to go in and sit with Bret on set, kill it,” Halperin mentioned.

Pritzker received’t make it out of the 2028 Democrat major. As a billionaire, he will likely be virtually robotically disqualified.
