New photos seem to point out your entire White Home East Wing has been demolished to make approach for President Donald Trump’s $300 million ballroom.
White Home press secretary Karoline Leavitt defended the demolition as she confronted questions from reporters at a briefing on Thursday.
President Trump initially stated in July that the challenge wouldn’t intervene with the prevailing White Home construction. Then this week, as crews started to raze the East Wing, the administration stated your entire wing would have to be “modernized” to make approach for the huge 90,000 sq. foot ballroom.

“That is the Individuals’s Home. Why not inform the general public of that change and when it was determined that the East Wing must be demolished?” ABC Information Chief White Home Correspondent Mary Bruce requested Leavitt.
“With any development challenge, adjustments come. And now we have knowledgeable all of you, we have been maintaining you apprised of this challenge. We have proven you the renderings,” Leavitt stated.
“The plans modified when the president heard counsel from the architects and the development firms who stated that to ensure that this East Wing to be trendy and exquisite for a lot of, a few years to return, for it to be a very robust and steady construction, this part one which we’re now in was crucial,” Leavitt added.
