To the editor: Thanks, Metropolis Council, for taking extra of my cash (“Parking will soon cost more in Los Angeles. Here’s what you need to know,” Oct. 6)! I can’t wait to see what you place it towards subsequent.

I’m positive town is elevating meter charges as a result of it plans on offering my fellow Angelenos and me with higher and extra plentiful companies, and never as a result of it’s attempting to dig itself out of a gap it created. Some could argue that $14.4 million just isn’t even a scratch at a $1-billion shortfall, however I say: How will you be towards it when it’s one more regressive tax?

To the editor: By making individuals pay for parking on Sundays, the Metropolis Council has abolished the at some point of the week that gave motorists a breather. It was a remnant of an easier-going Los Angeles, one thing to be cherished. The council appears intent on choosing the general public’s pockets and additional traumatizing of us — all to scrape up a paltry $14.4 million towards a finances shortfall simply shy a cool $1 billion.
