    Google says hackers are sending extortion emails to executives

    WASHINGTON: Alphabet’s Google stated hackers are sending extortion emails to an unspecified variety of executives, claiming to have stolen delicate information from their Oracle enterprise functions.

    In a press release, Google stated a bunch claiming affiliation with the ransomware gang cl0p was sending emails to “executives at quite a few organisations claiming to have stolen delicate information from their Oracle E-Enterprise Suite”.

    Google cautioned that it “doesn’t presently have ample proof to definitively assess the veracity of those claims”.

    Messages looking for remark from cl0p and Oracle weren’t instantly returned. Google described the e-mail marketing campaign as “high-volume” however declined to share additional particulars.
