California parents already have the right to not vaccinate their kids

To the editor: Mother and father in California have the suitable to not vaccinate their youngsters (“California has a strict vaccine mandate. Will it survive the Trump administration?,” Sept. 10). What they can’t do is to refuse to vaccinate their youngsters and ship their youngsters to public college and put different peoples’ youngsters in danger for infectious ailments. The selection is theirs — both take part in the neighborhood that protects all youngsters or forfeit the advantages given to all those that do take part.

To the editor: Not talked about within the article, among the many many assaults on vaccines not too long ago, was the one by Well being and Human Providers Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. The power of vaccine producers to provide these brokers and be shielded from malicious litigation has been a boon to delivering vaccines. Now, Kennedy needs to incorporate autism as one of many coated penalties of vaccines, regardless of the science, probably bankrupting a profitable program.
