    WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump lashed out Thursday (Jul 31) at Jerome Powell after the US central financial institution continued to hold rates steady again, calling him “too silly” to be Federal Reserve chairman.

    “Jerome ‘Too Late’ Powell has carried out it once more!” Trump posted on his Fact Social platform, after the Fed determined a day earlier to carry its key lending fee regular for a fifth straight assembly.

    In saying its resolution Wednesday, the Fed cited a moderation in financial exercise within the first half of the 12 months and “stable” labour market circumstances.
