    The U.S. Secret Service confirmed Sunday night that an individual is in custody following studies {that a} suspicious package deal was discovered close to the White Home. 

    “At roughly 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2025, U.S. Secret Service Uniformed Division officers instantly apprehend [sic] a person who climbed a fence on the southeast facet of the U.S. Treasury Constructing,” the federal regulation enforcement company advised Fox Information.

    The suspect allegedly dropped a bag on the sidewalk adjoining to the fence line of the constructing, which is positioned adjoining to the White Home.

    The suspect in that alleged try on Trump’s life, Ryan Routh, 59, ran away when noticed, solely to be taken into custody a short while later. He was charged with assaulting a federal officer and a number of firearms violations, together with the tried assassination. 

    He’s scheduled to characterize himself at his upcoming trial.
