To the editor: I’m honored to listen to the nationwide anthem in Spanish, similar to I used to be honored to listen to an incredible Black musician, Jimi Hendrix, play his rock-infused model at Woodstock (“Nezza says she sang national anthem in Spanish at Dodger Stadium against team’s wishes,” June 15).
I’m proud that minorities and immigrants want to come to America and contribute by working laborious and elevating good households. These are actually extra Christian values than these espoused by some U.S. residents, together with the individual accused of taking pictures two Minnesota Democratic lawmakers.
My Sicilian and Slovak ancestors entered the U.S. through Ellis Island within the early 1900s. I’m happy with Nezza and hope she is going to sing the nationwide anthem in Spanish once more.

To the editor: I hope the Los Angeles Dodgers by no means invite Nezza again to sing our nationwide anthem. She was instructed it might be sung in English after which proceeded to brazenly defy the Dodger group by singing it in Spanish. The Dodgers have been honoring the Hispanic group by having a Latina sing the anthem, after which she brags that she did what she needed despite their directions.
As somebody of Mexican descent, I’m happy with my grandparents for bringing their kids right here to have a greater life and extra alternatives. They turned naturalized Americans and their descendants are grateful.
The nationwide anthem needs to be sung in English because the composer of the phrases, Francis Scott Key, wrote it.
