    Trump admin live updates: Trump departs G7 early, instructs national security team to be ready in Situation Room

    Whereas standing subsequent to Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the UK, Trump displayed a commerce settlement signed with the U.Okay. He then unintentionally dropped the doc, blaming the wind, and misspoke, stating that the settlement was with the European Union.

    “Just a little windy out right here. We simply signed it and it is performed. And so, now we have our commerce settlement with the European Union, and it is a truthful deal for each. It’ll produce lots of jobs, lots of revenue. And now we have many, many different ones coming,” Trump continued.

    The White Home supplied extra particulars on metal and aluminum within the US-UK settlement, saying that Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick will decide a quota of merchandise that may enter the U.S. with out being topic to the 25% Part 232 tariff.

    The President flattered Starmer, concluding the bilateral assembly with, “The prime minister’s performed an excellent job. I need to simply inform that to the individuals of the UK, he is performed a really, superb job.”
