BEIJING: China condemns Israel’s violations of Iran’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity and urges Israel to right away cease all dangerous navy actions, China’s United Nations Ambassador Fu Cong stated, state media Xinhua Information Company reported.

“China opposes the intensification of contradictions and the enlargement of conflicts, and is deeply involved in regards to the penalties that could be led to by Israel’s actions,” Fu was quoted as saying at a gathering held by the UN Safety Council on the Center East scenario on Friday (Jun 13).

China is significantly involved in regards to the adverse affect of the present developments on diplomatic negotiations on the Iranian nuclear concern, stated Fu.

Israel launched large-scale strikes towards Iran early on Friday, saying it was the beginning of a protracted operation to stop Tehran from constructing an atomic weapon.

Iran launched retaliatory airstrikes on Friday night, with explosions heard in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, Israel’s two largest cities.

China has issued advisories to its residents in Israel and Iran on the “advanced and extreme” safety scenario in these nations, including a warning to these in Israel to arrange for potential missile and drone assaults.
