    Police rescue 68-year-old woman from burning car after it flips over on highway

    A 68-year-old girl is in secure situation after being rescued from a car hearth that engulfed her automobile when it flipped over throughout a crash on a freeway in New York, police mentioned.

    The incident occurred shortly after 4 a.m. on Sunday morning when models from the Chester Police Division in New York had been dispatched together with different emergency service models to “a report of a motorized vehicle on Kings Freeway close to Knapps View Park,” in response to an announcement from the Chester Police Division.

    When authorities arrived on scene, they found that the driving force was nonetheless trapped within the car that had been consumed by flames, police mentioned.

    “Officer Nicholas Contino was the primary police officer to reach on scene,” authorities mentioned of their assertion. “He gave his hearth extinguisher to a passing motorist and labored to find the operator within the car. He was in a position to break the sunroof glass and free her from the car. With the help of two passing motorists and a paramedic from Empress EMS, she was faraway from the car and away from the hearth.”

    The lady who was driving the automobile has not been named by authorities, however officers did say that she was a 68-year-old resident of Warwick, New York, and that she suffered burns to a couple of third of her physique.

    The lady was instantly taken to Westchester Medical Heart’s Burn Unit and at the moment stays in secure situation.
