    Jacksonville Metropolis Council President Kevin Carrico has revealed that Democrat Mayor Donna Deegan has notified sheriffs to not implement state or native immigration legal guidelines.

    Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been on the forefront of tackling unlawful immigration.

    The mayor’s workplace confirmed Carrico’s assertion, sharing an e-mail chain concerning the matter with Action News Jax.

    An e-mail from Normal Counsel Michael Fackler learn partially, “The Workplace of Normal Counsel advises JSO to not implement Chapter 605, Jacksonville Municipal Code, whereas the federal courtroom’s injunction of Fla.
