    Spain hosts key European and Arab nations to strain Israel to halt Gaza assault.

    The Madrid Group has convened in Spain’s capital for a fifth time, in a gathering attended by main European and Arab nations.

    Strain on Israel this 12 months has been ramped up, with Spain calling for an arms embargo on Israel and the imposition of sanctions on people who hinder a two-state resolution to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli battle.

    The UK has paused commerce talks and sanctioned quite a lot of Israeli settlers within the occupied West Financial institution. Canada and France have additionally threatened punitive measures.
