    Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was launched from custody on Friday night after he was arrested for felony trespass at an ICE detention facility.

    The Mayor of Newark was arrested for felony trespass on Friday after storming the Delaney Corridor ICE detention facility with congressional Democrats.

    In line with News12NJ, Baraka was shouting at brokers after he gained entry via the gate.

    Interim US Lawyer for the District of New Jersey Alina Habba mentioned Mayor Baraka was taken into custody after he ignored a number of warnings from DHS brokers.

    “The Mayor of Newark, Ras Baraka, dedicated trespass and ignored a number of warnings from Homeland Safety Investigations to take away himself from the ICE detention heart in Newark, New Jersey this afternoon. He has willingly chosen to ignore the regulation. That won’t stand on this state. He has been taken into custody. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW,” Alina Habba mentioned.
