    South Korean lawmakers present replace on estimated casualties following briefing by nation’s intelligence company.

    About 600 North Korean troopers have been killed combating in Russia’s warfare in Ukraine, South Korean lawmakers have stated, citing intelligence officers.

    Talking after a closed-door briefing by the Nationwide Intelligence Service (NIS) on Wednesday, Lee Seong-kweun and Kim Byung-kee informed reporters that an estimated 4,700 North Koreans had been killed or injured thus far within the warfare.

    Lee and Kim, who co-chair the legislature’s intelligence committee, made their feedback two days after Pyongyang confirmed for the primary time that it had despatched troops to Russia to assist Moscow’s warfare.

    In a report by the official Korean Central Information Company (KCNA) on Monday, North Korean chief Kim Jong Un was quoted as saying he had ordered the deployment of troops to “annihilate and wipe out the Ukrainian neo-Nazi occupiers and liberate the Kursk space in cooperation with the Russian armed forces”.

    The newest casualty figures mark a major bounce from the NIS’s briefing to lawmakers in January, when the spy company reportedly stated that about 300 North Korean troops had been killed within the battle.

    Of their briefing to reporters, Lee and Kim, members of the conservative Folks Energy Celebration and liberal Democratic Celebration, respectively, stated that the NIS estimates that Pyongyang has deployed about 15,000 troopers in complete.

    The lawmakers additionally stated that Pyongyang seems to have obtained technical help on spy satellites in return for its help, in addition to drones, digital warfare gear and SA-22 surface-to-air missiles.

    “After six months of participation within the warfare, the North Korean navy has turn out to be much less inept, and its fight functionality has considerably improved because it turns into accustomed to utilizing new weapons resembling drones,” Lee informed reporters.
