    Protesters in Tel Aviv say government responsible for captives’ fate | Israel-Palestine conflict News

    Indignant demonstrators demand the Israeli authorities safe the discharge of captives held in Gaza.

    There have been extra massive protests in Israel, demanding that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu conclude a captives-for-prisoners trade take care of Hamas.

    There are about 58 captives nonetheless held in Gaza, 34 of whom the Israeli army says are useless.

    Members of the family of the captives and people supporting them rallied, with tensions rising between them and police in Tel Aviv on Saturday.

    Demonstrators condemned the federal government’s choice to return to struggle, and held aloft photos of their relations in captivity. They mentioned they had been holding the Israeli authorities accountable for their lives.

    Saturday’s protest comes as Hamas’s armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, launched a video titled, Time is Operating Out, purporting to point out an Israeli captive in Gaza calling on the federal government to safe his launch, the second such video shared by the group inside days.

    The Hostages and Lacking Households Discussion board marketing campaign group recognized the person as Elkana Bohbot, who was taken captive from the positioning of a music competition in southern Israel throughout Hamas’s October 7, 2023, assault that led to Israel’s newest marketing campaign towards Gaza.

    The footage lasts greater than three minutes, exhibiting Bohbot talking in Hebrew and pleading for his freedom.
