To the editor: I learn with some disbelief {that a} main metropolis mayor would try and silence a film displaying, even threaten their lease, to fulfill a political agenda (“In turnaround, Miami Beach mayor backs down from threatening theater over ‘No Other Land’,” March 19). I went to see the movie “No Different Land” partly as a result of I needed to see what somebody was so afraid the general public could be uncovered to.
To be clear, I’m neither pro-Israel nor pro-Palestinian. I’m pro-American taxpayer. As a significant monetary supporter of the state of Israel, it appalls me that our tax {dollars} are spent to assist violate U.N. sanctions (towards taking on Palestinian lands) and dismantle any semblance of a life for the native individuals within the West Financial institution.
Please don’t misunderstand my place. Hamas is a terrorist group, so far as I’m involved, however simply as killing civilians on 9/11 was misguided, so is that this assault of humanity. I would not have the solutions to the two-state resolution. However certainly America shouldn’t flip a blind eye to this.
