To the editor: President Trump trumpeted how a lot he has performed since his inauguration (“Trump vows to press ahead on reshaping America in speech to Congress as Democrats register dissent,” March 4). However, sadly, the amount of motion just isn’t matched by cautious consideration. Lots of the actions he and the Division of Authorities Effectivity have taken have wanted to be walked again, corrected or reversed by the courts. I feel the American individuals deserve an administration that offers extra precedence to contemplating the influence of its actions than it does to the pace and quantity of these actions.

    Ken Ziskin, Sherman Oaks

    ..

To the editor: After watching Trump’s deal with to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night time, two issues are instantly apparent: America of America is the best nation on the face of the Earth and the adults are again in cost in Washington.

    Michael Murphy, San Pedro

    ..

To the editor: As a university professor, I deal with figuring out teachable moments outdoors the classroom. Trump’s deal with was a grand slam of teachable moments of cruelty, malevolence, bullying and conceitedness. These assertions misdirect the expansion and growth of our youth.

    Kevin Anthony, Studio City

    ..

To the editor: The 13-year-old mind most cancers survivor lauded by Trump undoubtedly benefited from work performed by these on the Nationwide Institutes of Well being. Left unmentioned was that the NIH was among the many companies reduce up by Elon Musk’s chainsaw.

    Hideo Karatsu, Lengthy Seaside

    ..

To the editor: All in all, the night was all one may probably count on from a Trump spectacle, which it was. And but I nearly missed the presence of Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco) sitting behind him, ready to tear up his speech. No, Pelosi was sitting within the gallery with the remainder of the glum-faced Democrats, by no means standing, by no means applauding. Judging from her facial features, she really gave the impression to be in misery, as did numerous the Democrats. Are they upset about what is going on or what remains to be to come back? Possibly each.

    Arthur Saginian, Santa Clarita

    ..

To the editor: President Trump stated that he was taking again the Panama Canal. What is going to occur if Mexico decides to take again the Gadsden Buy, which gave the U.S. parts of what at the moment are Arizona and New Mexico in 1854? And, what if Russia decides to take again Seward’s Folly, the deal the place it bought Alaska to the U.S. in 1867?

    Stephen Darling, Lengthy Seaside

    ..

To the editor: I figured it out: The Republicans’ relationship to Trump is like somebody in an abusive relationship. The particular person is aware of it’s dangerous, but they refuse to simply accept it and hope that the abuser will do higher, but it by no means occurs. Democrats are like their finest pal, warning them of the character of the abuser, but they refuse to take heed to the reality.

    Stephen Mirkin, North Hollywood
