    Haze or smoke on Delta plane forces passengers to evacuate via slides at Atlanta airport

    Delta passengers had been pressured to evacuated by way of slides at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Worldwide Airport on Monday after haze or smoke was noticed within the aircraft, in keeping with the airline and the Federal Aviation Administration.

    Delta Flight 876 was en route from Atlanta to Columbia, South Carolina, on Monday morning when “haze contained in the plane was noticed,” a Delta spokesperson stated. The FAA stated “the crew reported doable smoke within the flightdeck.”

    The Boeing 717 plane — which had 94 passengers, two pilots and three flight attendants on board — returned to Atlanta and landed safely, in keeping with Delta and the FAA.

    Atlanta Fireplace Rescue helped passengers deplane, in keeping with the airport.

    “There’s a reasonable influence to operations right now,” in keeping with the airport.

    “Nothing is extra vital than the protection of our prospects and folks, and we apologize to our prospects for the expertise,” a Delta spokesperson stated.

    The FAA will examine.
