    Navy Vet Zachary Younger sues CNN for defamation

    CNN on Friday paid Navy Vet Zachary Younger an undisclosed settlement for punitive damages after it was already ordered to pay $5 million in emotional and monetary damages.

    Zachary Younger sued CNN for defamation over a 2021 report on his work serving to Afghans throughout Biden’s botched withdrawal.

    The lawsuit towards CNN stemmed from their protection of Biden’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal, which the courtroom previously determined showcased “precise malice, categorical malice, and a stage of conduct outrageous sufficient” for Plaintiff Zachary Younger to hunt damages.
