To the editor: Underneath the guise of eradicating “‘crimson tape’ that drives up vitality prices,” this administration has rolled again curbs on air pollution from coal-burning energy vegetation (“EPA scraps power plant emissions limits in sweeping rollback,” Sept. 14).

To cite from the Los Angeles Instances article, “Making electrical energy from coal and gasoline is the second largest supply of greenhouse gasoline emissions within the U.S. and the main driver of local weather change globally.” But the Environmental Safety Company nonetheless eliminated these curbs.

My great-grandchildren will perceive that the blistering warmth they are going to be experiencing is the direct results of the actions of President Trump and Lee Zeldin, head of the U.S. EPA. Trump and Zeldin have additionally blocked large wind generators and photo voltaic collectors that create vitality with out air pollution.

This administration has significantly endangered our valuable “blue marble” of a planet. Does that not make them criminally accountable?

    Jack Salem, Los Angeles

    ..

To the editor: Trump famously adopted the identify “Division of Warfare” instead of the Division of Protection.

Now, with the directive to permit limitless air pollution from fossil fuel-burning energy vegetation, Trump may as nicely unofficially change the identify of the Environmental Safety Company to the “Environmental Air pollution Company.”

    Brad Golstein, Woodland Hills

    ..

To the editor: Power Secretary Chris Wright calls these of us working to battle local weather change “local weather alarmists,” as if homes being destroyed by ocean waves and other people dying from extreme warmth aren’t causes for alarm.

As for inexpensive electrical energy, renewable vitality could be inexpensive. In actual fact, it could even be cheaper. As soon as the services are constructed, the utility corporations don’t have to purchase gasoline to make electrical energy. The wind and sunshine are free.
