The migrant fiasco turns right into a border dispute.
The entire world noticed the fact of Spanish migration chaos when about 60K North African invaders swam and overran the enclave of Ceuta just a few days in the past.
The Italian authorities of Giorgia Meloni went past strongly worded letters and imposed heavy border checks with Spain, regardless of the Schengen settlement.
So, Spain issued an ultimatum to Italy. It didn’t work.

“’Italy doesn’t settle for ultimatums or impositions from overseas concerning nationwide safety and border management’, the Italian authorities mentioned in a press release on Friday.
The Spanish authorities issued an ultimatum to Italy on Friday, demanding that it elevate border controls imposed on vacationers coming from Spain by Sunday, arguing that the measure is ‘unjust, opposite to the pursuits of the European Union and discriminatory in direction of the Spanish inhabitants’.”

“In a press release, the Spanish authorities argues that the choice taken by Rome on 1 August “relies on spurious arguments incompatible with the Schengen Borders Code and with the details.”
