    “DESTABILISING”

    Trump mentioned Thursday there can be “no enrichment of fabric” in Saudi Arabia after the Wall Avenue Journal reported a provision that might enable US firms to construct an enrichment facility there.

    “If Riyadh had needed to only have US backing for a civilian programme, it could have performed so years in the past … the aim is to get US assist for a deal that does not totally exclude a pathway” to a weapons programme, analyst Michael Horowitz wrote, in a put up on X.

    US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has careworn there are safeguards in opposition to proliferation.
