Hours after President Donald Trump blasted Sen. Invoice Cassidy for supporting a struggle powers decision that narrowly handed the Senate on Tuesday, Cassidy helped to ship Trump a victory by voting with nearly all of Republicans late Wednesday to dam a separate decision aimed toward reining within the president’s struggle powers in Iran from advancing.
It was a exceptional departure for Cassidy who, simply hours in the past, was in a shouting match with the president throughout a lunch between Trump and the GOP convention.
Cassidy stated he later obtained a briefing from Vice President JD Vance and Particular Envoy Steve Witkoff on Iran.
