Police arrested an 18-year-old suspect in a taking pictures Monday night at a Northern California library, which left two useless and one injured, in line with the Chico Police Division.

Pictures have been fired quickly after 5 p.m. on the Chico department of the Butte County Library in Chico, California. Regulation enforcement took the suspect into custody as he fled the library out the again, Chico Police Chief Billy Aldridge stated in a information convention on Monday.

The suspect, recognized as Bradley Scott Sayer, was arrested and is presently being held within the Butte County Jail on two counts of homicide, in line with Chico police.

Officers stated the suspect wished a Columbine massacre-style taking pictures and didn’t know the victims.

On April 20, 1999, two students opened fire at Columbine Excessive Faculty in Littleton, Colorado, gunning down 12 of their fellow college students and a instructor earlier than killing themselves.

In response to legislation enforcement officers, Sayer was carrying clothes like that of Columbine killer Eric Harris. And Sayer, the officers tentatively consider, is related to a web-based fandom group of mass killers that has been linked to earlier shootings. The officers consider he acted alone over his Columbine obsession.

“The incident this night was clearly very unhappy, traumatic for lots of people,” Aldridge stated within the information convention. “Very traumatic for our neighborhood.”

Police are ready to inform the victims’ households earlier than releasing their names. Along with the 2 useless, a baby was taken to the hospital with minor accidents, Aldridge stated.

All branches of the Butte County Library are closed on Tuesday.

Regulation enforcement stated they’re persevering with to analyze the taking pictures, and there’s no present hazard to the general public. They consider the shooter acted alone. The Chico Police Division is collaborating with the Butte County Sheriff’s Workplace and the FBI within the investigation, which stays ongoing.
