    $2.6M raised for Australian hero who disarmed attacker in Bondi Beach shooting

    In a video shared on social media, al Ahmed appeared overwhelmed by the gesture.

    Sitting in his hospital mattress, al Ahmed requested, “I deserve it?”

    Dereniowski replied, “Each penny.”

    Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese visited al Ahmed earlier this week, hailing him as an “Australian hero.”

    “You set your self in danger to avoid wasting others, working in direction of hazard on Bondi Seaside and disarming a terrorist,” he wrote on X. “Within the worst of instances, we see one of the best of Australians. And that is precisely what we noticed on Sunday night time. On behalf of each Australian, I say thanks.”

    Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised al Ahmed’s actions as “courageous,” and Chris Minns, the premier of Australia’s New South Wales, acknowledged that his “unbelievable bravery little doubt saved numerous lives.”

    The Australian authorities is investigating the taking pictures as a terror assault focusing on the Jewish neighborhood.

    A 24-year-old man who allegedly perpetrated the phobia assault together with his 50-year-old father was slapped with homicide prices. The daddy “died on the scene,” police mentioned.
